Incredible Bible Feats
· Jesus died and rose triumphantly from the grave on the 3rd Day (Math 28:1 – 10)
Till date, no living being has been able to match this incredible feat set by our lord Jesus Christ.
· David Killing Goliath with a stone and a sling (1 Sam 17:12 – 54)
Considering the weight height and reputation of mighty Goliath when compared to that of little David, this famous victory story will ever remain a best seller any day.
It was even made more remarkable when one considers the instrument of victory – a single stone and a sling. No wonder the Bible tells us that God confounds the wise with things that are foolish
· Parting of the Red Sea (Ex 14:15 – 22)
Such a massive mass of water called the Red Sea, become ported at the command of Moses using the instrument of authority – His rod and the children of Israel walked through dry ground to the promise land. It was nothing short of a miracle.
· Lazarus died and came back alive four days later (John 11:1 – 45)
Too incredible to be true but it was real Jesus rebuked the spirit of death hovering around Lazarus, and he that was dead came back from the land of the dead.
It became a huge evangelical story, as lots of folks came to see the man who was raised back to life, with many believing I the Lord.
· Joshua Commanding the sun and moon to stand still Josh (10:12 – 14)
Joshua altered the law of nature as the Israelite commander led Israel against the allied forces of the Amorites, Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish and Eglon.
It was even recorded in Vs 14 of Josh 10 that “there was never a day like that before it or after it”. It was so incredible!
· A Donkey speaking (Num 22:28 – 30)
That was the record Balaam donkey created. It was an awesome feat. It further demonstrated the power of God in using the things that are termed foolish to confound the wise.
· Jesus turning water into wine (John 2:1 – 11)
This was Jesus first public miracle, and it caused quite a stir in the marriage feast at Cana of Galilee. With no chemical, no yeast or fire, water was converted to wine. It was not only incredible, but also unbelievable to majority of the guest at the party.
· The bones of dead Elisha Waking up a dead man (2 kings 13:20 – 21)
The poor fellow who died never had time to recover from the shock of waking up suddenly form the dead, when he began to run from the enemies territory. The power of God in Elisha’s dead bones came in contact with his dead tissues, veins and muscle, and something incredible happened, as the man woke up alive.
· The feeding of 4,000/5,000 people with five loaves and two fishes Mt 14:15 – 21
It was simply unheard of how can 5,000 people be fed with five loaves of bread and two fishes? It was not only enough, but 12 baskets full of bread and fishes were left over. It was an amazing sight to behold.
· Replacement of Malcus severed ear by Jesus. Luke 22:49 – 51
That war the most incredible feat to have occurred in the Garden of Gethsemane. It was simply a divine surgery. No stitches were needed. No drugs was applied it was carried out by the physician of all physicians – Jesus Christ. It was an incredible feat.
· The falling down of the wall of Jericho Josh 6:15 – 21
By just singing and dancing round the wall of Jericho, the powerfully built and fortified walls of Jericho fell down flat.
It was on amazing feat by all standards.
· The Birth of Jesus Christ Mt 1:18 – 25
The birth of Jesus was fore told by prophet Isaiah. It was purely a divine arrangement considering the fact that Mary was conceived of the Holy Spirit. It was an unusual birth. It was also an incredible feat.
· Daniel in the Lion’s Den (Daniel 6)
Been thrown into a lion Den can result to instant death through heart attack for some fellows. It was not so for Daniel, because God shut the mouth of the lions on his behalf. He was strolling majestically in the lion’s den. It was a feat that was only made possible by God’s divine intervention.
· Shedrack, Meshac and Abednego in the burning furnace (Dan 3:19- 26)
They were never afraid to die even when they were face to face with death. The men who bound and threw them into the burning furnace died as a result of the heat of the furnace. They landed in the furnace and begin strolling inside the furnace making it look like it was fitted with Air conditioner. The secret of their not been hurt, was that they were not alone. There was a fourth man with them – Jesus, the prince of peace.
· Jesus Walking on top of the sea (Mt 14:25–31)
Jesus defied the law of gravity, by walking on top of the sea. He demonstrated his power over creation and it was a frightful peter that asked that he join him. Peter performed the incredible by also walking on top of water, but because he looks at the boisterous sea, he began to sink. The Lord came to his rescue and saved him never has such a feat been performed.
· 100 years old Abraham giving birth to a child (Gen 21:1 – 6)
If given the opportunity, many neighbors and brethren will contest the claim of Abraham’s ability to father a child at age of 100. But it happened. It was a record no mortal man can ever break.
· Moses and the burning bush (Ex 3:1 – 6)
The sight of fire burning without consuming a bush was too real to be true, and Moses drew near, until God spoke to him through the burning bush. It was no ordinary fire. It was the fire of God, and it
was a living proof to the power of God.
· Manna and Quail from Heaven (Ex 16:1-35)
This was a miracle that was made in heaven. The Israelite cried for bread and they got a strange food. They never knew what name to call it and they decided to give it “Manna”. It was not yet over, as they also cried for meat, and God sent Quail upon their camp. It was on incredible feat.
· Carried to heaven by a Chariot of fire(2 Kings 2:11)
Never had such a scene been recorded in the entire bible.
It was a colorful and glorious home call for Elijah. He never saw death, and it yet again demonstrated the incredible power of God.
· The Outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:2-18)
It was a promise fulfilled. And when it came upon the disciples gathered at the upper room, there was commotion everywhere, as they began to speak in other tongues. No body thought them how to speak these strange tongues. It was an incredible feat yet to be surpassed.
